Oh, I wasted here with the withdrawal of funds from the partner program of Agoda, therefore, while I am impressed, I decided to immediately share some observations regarding hotel partners with whom I have been experimenting for the past six months. I can not say that the experiments are straight serious, but it’s high time that something was done in this direction.




Initially, I had widgets and links from Hotellook (TravelPayouts partner), then I replaced all the links to Booking, then to Agoda, and eventually to RoomGuru (formerly Hotelscombined). All this turned out, while there was a season in Asia, so statistics can be considered indicative.

Six months later I switched back to Hotellook, the conversion is no worse than in RoomGuru, more tools.

Partner (registration) has been standing for a long time, a couple of years exactly, and maybe more. As you probably know, the payment is for the booked reservations, so you need to wait until you go to the mode. After all, a person can book a hotel in six months, and earnings will also be in six months. With my attendance, I brought in an average of 100-200 dollars a month in the old course (then it has not yet risen), that is, 1500-10000 rubles, respectively, in the season more, in summer less. Closer to the middle-end of 2014, earnings were very small, not more than 100 bucks, the crisis affected, all the same hotels I have here for the most part Thai.




At Hotellook I really like hotel widgets in the form of a map. Logically, they should show an excellent conversion, but I did not have time to use them. If anyone knows, tell me how they go on your blogs.

The first in line was Booking. I gathered my strength and replaced all the links on the blog with Bucking’s, I spent a day on it. The logic was simple, Booking is very popular with Russians, I think most travelers use it, so they will not doubt to book on it, the main thing is only to give them the right link, that is, to advise the hotel. References stood for 3 months, waited until «I will go to the regime». It turned out about 50-80 euros / month. Not much. I think it would have come to 100 euros, but removed the link. The rate of the dollar has already changed, but in rubles it still worked out a little, about the same as that of RoomGuru. I suppose, the absence of cookies affects, if not this, then it would be more. You need much more targeted traffic.

In terms of widgets, Booking has nothing original, only standard banners and Search Box.

It has long been heard that Agoda works very well on sites devoted to Asia, and cookies have been stored for a whole year. It’s just a tasty morsel, right? Frozen, again changed links, only now on Agoda. They stood about 2.5 months. The statistics for Agoda is the worst one I’ve ever seen, it’s very difficult to evaluate it. Those supporters are also so-so, corresponded with them a month before they were able to withdraw the reward. It seems that the bots are responding, not real people (they do not answer questions correctly). The funniest thing is that they have their personal cabinet buggy on the way, and after a long correspondence and a change of bank details in the office and through email, they still wanted to transfer money not there 🙂 And this was not all over, because the bank I, as usual, brought to the account of IP) required an offer in Russian, and Agoda only in English, had to be translated. It’s good that not all, but only a part. By the way, on cards like Epayments, the reward can not be deduced in the usual way, you have to write to the technical department and file for the search for payment, because the payment goes without a note, in which you could specify the ePID, not a problem, but still.




So, it turned out in Agoda about 100-200 dollars per month already on the rising rate. That is the most advantageous option among the previous ones. And if I «go to the regime», I think it would be a little more, after all, 2.5 months is not enough, and at the end of the season it was already the case.

Well, the last option, which I especially did not even expect, because there is payment for clicks, not for reservations. It seems like it should not be profitable at all. I have long been putting this affiliate, she was the first on the blog, and only then she was replaced by TravelPayouts with her hotels. So, not having time to replace all the links (I mostly wanted to potestit on the sidebar), already somewhere in a week I shlopotan ban. The very same ban, for which they abuse many of this affiliate. Because the bans are such that you can not even withdraw funds. Moreover, they make cunningly, wait until you save 200 bucks (min amount) and only then make a check of your traffic, and banyat if it does not match their parameters (no reservations, only clicks).




On the one hand, they can be understood, nafiga them partners who do not bring them profit and through which there are no bookings, on the other hand, why wait for the minimum threshold? Not honestly somehow. As a result, I wrote in Russian-language support (in English it is useless, they will not even answer), and I was given a second chance. Like, if there are reservations, I will be banned back. I finished the change of all links, added new ones, removed the banner, replaced it with the widget.




RoomGuru now brings 300-500 dollars. Not bad, I think, given that the season is over. The main thing is only now again not to catch the ban, because there are no statistics on reservations in your personal account, only clicks. In vain they are, partners could control this process themselves.

With partner tools, Hotelscombined-RoomGuru is not thick, usual banners and a less normal search form.
